SOS Workplace OHS/PPE Program for Alberta

The SOS Workplace OHS/PPE Program includes first aid and safety training for staff that is aimed at creating a safer workplace environment. Knowledge of how to respond to workplace medical emergencies makes people work safer. The more knowledge your staff has the safer your workplace will be. All training can be done at your location around your schedule and certification courses are taught by certified Canadian Red Cross Instructors.

Emergency Response Training

This seminar is aimed at heightening awareness about medical emergencies in the workplace. We will teach your staff to be able to better recognize and deal with issues that may occur, and how to properly use the SOS oxygen unit. As part of our service, this one-hour session is available annually to an unlimited number of your team members, at no additional charge. This seminar is also available in a digital version and Zoom.

CPR Heart-Start Course

Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/ territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Minimum 6 people required for on-site classes.

Emergency First Aid (EFA)

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Minimum 6 people required for on-site classes.

Standard First Aid (SFA)

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Minimum 6 people required for on-site classes.
