Philips OnSite AED Pads

Philips AED pads have a shelf life of 2 years. Please note that there has been a notice of recall for this product. Philips recommends continuing to use your device/pads as they work towards a replacement program in late 2022.

HS1/onsite/home AED pads (pn: m5071a, m5072a) have been observed to experience gel separation from the foam/tin backing when peeled from the yellow plastic liner. The gel may fold onto itself resulting in reduced surface area of gel on the pad, or it may separate almost completely leaving only a small amount of gel on the pad. Any pad currently installed in or stored with an HS1/onsite/home aed could experience this problem, and it is not possible to know prior to patient use if your pad is affected because the pads are protected by a foil seal. Recall start date: Mar 2, 2022

 

Description

These pads are compatible with the Philips OnSite/HS1 Only – unit serial number starts with “A”. To replace your pads, locate the latch at the top edge of the AED and slide it to the side. The pads cartridge will be released. Lift out the used pads cartridge. Remove a new SMART Pads Cartridge from its package and insert the cartridge into the cartridge well on the front of the HeartStart. It should click into place when properly seated. The green PULL handle should be all the way down. To prevent the pads’ adhesive gel from drying out, do not open the hardcover or film seal of the cartridge until you need to use the pads.
